Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 October 2026. Contact: support@plainwharf.com
These terms apply to Gradenest: Teacher Gradebook (“the app”), published on Google Play by identityKa under the Plainwharf name (“we”). By using the app you agree to them. The terms of the store you downloaded the app from also apply.
The app and its calculations
The app calculates averages and report grades from the grades, weights and grading scale you set. The built-in scales follow common national rules and school practice, but schools, states and subjects often have their own rules. You remain responsible for every grade you give. Check the scale settings (pass mark, rounding, steps) against your school’s rules and check report grades before you use them officially. You can override any report grade.
Student data
You decide what you enter and you are responsible for following the data protection rules of your school, state and country, including any rule on using a private device for school data. The app stores the data only on your device; we have no access to it.
Free plan and Pro
- The free plan includes all features for 1 class with up to 35 students, with no ads.
- Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers where shown) or a one-time lifetime purchase. Pro removes the class and student limits and keeps past school years as an archive. Prices are shown in the app and in Google Play before you buy and may vary by country.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before. If you start a free trial and do not cancel before it ends, you will be charged for the first year.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
- If Pro ends, nothing is deleted: you can still open, export and back up all your data, but you cannot add more classes or students beyond the free limits.
- Payments, refunds and cancellations are handled by Google Play under its policies. Where local law gives you additional rights (for example a withdrawal right in the EU), those rights apply.
- To get Pro back on a new phone, use the same Google account and tap “Restore purchases” in Settings.
Your data and backups
Your data is stored only on your device. We cannot see or recover it. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data or losing the phone deletes it unless you have a backup file. If you forget your app PIN, the only way back is to reinstall the app and restore a backup. If you forget a backup password, that backup cannot be opened by anyone.
Acceptable use
Do not use the app to break the law or infringe others’ rights. Do not reverse engineer the app except where law allows.
Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent allowed by law we give no warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. If a change is significant we will show it in the app or on this page with a new date. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
