Dutyloop (“the app”) shows your rotating shifts in a calendar and adds up your working hours. It has no user accounts and no server of its own. This policy explains what stays on your device and the little that leaves it.
In short
- Your rotations, shifts, days off, sick days, swaps, actual working times, workplace or project tags, hourly rates and notes are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
- The app does not collect usage statistics or crash reports and contains no analytics or advertising SDK.
- If you buy Pro, Google Play handles the payment and RevenueCat checks the purchase.
- No advertising, no advertising ID, no selling or sharing of data.

Data stored on your device
Jobs and rotations, day entries, tags, hourly rates, notes and settings are saved in a database in the app's private storage. If you add the home screen widget (Pro), the app also keeps the next 62 days of shift names and times in the app's private storage so the widget can show today's and tomorrow's shift.
This data leaves your device only when you share it: for example when you share a month image, an hours report (PDF or CSV) or a backup file through the system share menu. Where it goes then is your choice, and the receiving app's or service's privacy policy applies. Hours reports contain your shifts, times, tags and amounts, but not your notes. Images from the free version contain a short line with the app name and the address plainwharf.com/dutyloop, and the share text includes a Google Play link; neither contains any identifier of you or your device.
Permissions

The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar or storage permissions. Backup files are opened through the system file picker, which gives the app only the file you choose.
Purchases (Google Play and RevenueCat)
The one-time Pro purchase is processed by Google Play; we never see your payment card or Google account details. The app uses RevenueCat, Inc. to verify the purchase and restore it on a new phone. RevenueCat receives a random app user identifier, the purchase token and product, price, currency and country/store, and basic device information (such as operating system and app version), and keeps purchase records as needed to provide the service and for accounting. Your shifts and hours are never part of this. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Purchase verification: performance of the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your shift and hours data is processed only on your device. RevenueCat and Google may process data in the United States; they rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Deleting your data
- Delete jobs, day entries and tags in the app.
- Uninstalling the app, or Android Settings → Apps → Dutyloop → Storage → Clear data, deletes everything the app stored, including scheduled reminders and widget data. Images, reports and backup files you shared or saved stay where you put them.
- There is no account to delete. For purchase records held by RevenueCat, see Delete your data.
Children
The app is a tool for working adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, KVKK, LGPD or US state privacy laws) you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not hold your shift data and have no accounts, most of these rights are exercised directly in the app. For anything else write to support@plainwharf.com.
Changes
We will update this page when the app's data handling changes and show the new date above. If a future version sends any data from your device (for example optional usage statistics), it will be described here before that version is released and, where required, will ask for your consent first.
