The frost dates look wrong for my garden

The dates are 30-year averages for a grid cell of about 25 km and can differ in hollows, on hills or near the coast. In Settings → Garden location, tap either date to set your own, or turn on “No frost here”. “Frost safety margin” in Settings moves the dates by one or two weeks; Pro “Cautious frost dates” uses the date that is passed only one year in ten.

My town is not found

Search works offline with about 34,000 towns of 15,000+ inhabitants; try the nearest larger town. Outside Europe and North America you can enter your frost dates by hand.

Reminders do not arrive

Allow notifications for Beetwise in Android settings and exclude it from battery saving (on Xiaomi, Huawei and similar phones also allow “Autostart”). Reminders arrive at most once a day at the time set in Settings, and Android may delay them by up to an hour.

Moving to a new phone

Settings → Data → Back up creates one .beetwise file. Save it to Google Drive or Files. On the new phone install Beetwise, choose Settings → Data → Restore from backup, then open the app again when asked.

Restoring Pro

Use the same Google account on the new phone and tap Settings → Upgrade → Restore purchases.

Cancelling a subscription

Google Play → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Beetwise → Cancel. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
