Beetwise (“the app”) is a vegetable garden planner. It has no user accounts and no server of its own. This policy explains what stays on your device and the little that leaves it.
In short
- Your gardens, location, frost dates, beds, plantings, reminders, journal and harvest records are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
- The app does not collect usage statistics or crash reports and contains no analytics or advertising SDK.
- If you buy Pro, Google Play handles the payment and RevenueCat checks the purchase.
- No advertising, no advertising ID, no selling or sharing of data.

Data stored on your device
Everything you enter — garden names, the place you chose and its coordinates, frost dates, beds and their sizes, plantings, reminders, journal notes and harvest amounts — and your settings are saved in the app’s private storage on your device. The climate tables, plant catalogue and place list are built into the app, so planning works without an internet connection.
This data leaves your device only when you share it: for example when you share a PDF garden plan or export a backup file through the system share menu. Where it goes then is your choice, and the receiving app’s or service’s privacy policy applies.
Permissions

The app does not use the camera, microphone, precise location, background location, contacts or storage permissions. Backup files are opened through the system file picker, which only gives the app the file you pick.
Purchases (Google Play and RevenueCat)
Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Google Play; we never see your payment card or Google account details. The app uses RevenueCat, Inc. to verify purchases and restore them on a new phone. RevenueCat receives a random app user identifier, the purchase token and product, price, currency and country/store, and basic device information (such as operating system and app version), and keeps purchase records as needed to provide the service and for accounting. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Purchase verification: performance of the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Location, if you choose to use it, is processed only on your device. RevenueCat and Google may process data in the United States; they rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Deleting your data
- Delete gardens, beds, plantings and journal entries in the app.
- Uninstalling the app, or Android Settings → Apps → Beetwise → Storage → Clear data, deletes everything the app stored. Backup files and PDFs you exported stay where you put them.
- There is no account to delete. For purchase records held by RevenueCat, see Delete your data.
Children
The app is a general gardening tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or US state privacy laws) you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we do not hold your garden data and have no accounts, most of these rights are exercised directly in the app. For anything else write to support@plainwharf.com.
Changes
We will update this page when the app’s data handling changes and show the new date above. If a future version sends any data from your device (for example optional usage statistics), it will be described here before that version is released and, where required, will ask for your consent first.
