How do byes work?

In a league with an odd number of teams, one team rests in each round, and every team rests exactly once per round-robin. In a knockout bracket that is not a power of two (for example 6 or 12 teams), the top seeds go straight to the next round. Seeds follow the order of the team list; reorder the list or shuffle it before you confirm the teams.

How is the table sorted?

By points first. When points are equal, the tie-break order you chose in the tournament settings is used (head-to-head, goal difference, goals scored, wins). The default depends on the app language and can be changed at any time; the table updates at once.

A knockout match ended level

Enter the score and choose who went through (for example after penalties). The winner moves to the next round.

Changing teams after the fixture is made

You can rename teams at any time. Adding, removing or reordering teams makes a new fixture; the app asks first, because scores already entered are removed.

The image says “Made with Cupgrid”

Images from the free version carry this small line at the bottom, and the share text includes a link to the app. Pro removes both.

Moving to a new phone

Settings → Backup → Save a backup creates one .cupgrid file with all tournaments. Save it to Google Drive or Files. On the new phone install Cupgrid, choose Settings → Restore from backup, then open the app again when asked. Backups are free.

Restoring Pro

Use the same Google account on the new phone and tap Settings → Restore purchases. Pro is a one-time purchase and never renews.
